My little artist

Hope just finished up her second set of lessons at Crealde and I thought we’d finally share a few things on our blog. Thanks to Jason’s aunt Connie, Hope received a gift certificate to attend her first set of art lessons at Crealde. As most of you know, I really enjoy being able to involve Hope in creative art projects, so it was great to finally sign her up for art lessons. Her first set of lessons were a class named pint sized picasso’s. Over the course of six weeks the kids explored various art mediums such as water color, acrylic, and pen & ink. I truly admire the bird painting she created towards the end of this set of lessons.

After seeing how much fun she had during the summer, we signed up for more lessons this fall. She just finished up another six weeks of lessons named “It’s all about me”. The kids continued to explore using various art mediums and creating artwork that related to themselves. Hope seems to enjoy drawing hearts, most of her work involved hearts this time around. This one was my favorite from this set of lessons:

It’s been great watching Hope enjoy her little creative experiences at Crealde. She also enjoyed getting to spend some time with her buddy Miscia who also took art lessons with her.

The kids have a few weeks away from lessons, and then they’ll be back in mid-October to take a clay expedition class. We can’t wait to see what types of cool creative clay creations they make!

Of course, if you’re anxious to go back in time and check out some of Hope’s older art work – there’s a great collection of Hope’s artwork in flickr.
