I never would have imagined I’d spend five days of the last week since having Jaylen in the hospital. In fact, the first two nights home with the little guy went really well and we presumed he was doing just fine, that is until we went in to the routine doctor’s visit. Originally we thought […]

Poor baby. I’m so glad everything is alright. I couldn’t even imagine how hard it would be to go through all of that. Definitely a blessing in disguise.
PS – Jaylen is so CUTE. I usually don’t say things like that about babies.
Oh Amanda – he is just beautiful – I love the picture of him and Jason doing the high five. So glad that everything checked out fine and yes we should all count our blessings.
CAN’T even begin to imagine going through all that- I cried when they took blood from Savannah when she was a baby…
Glad everything is well now. I’ll keep you all in my prayers.
He is such a little man…able to deal with so much so soon…no wonder he looks like such an old soul…
Blessings….C

Jaylen is a beautiful baby, and I am so thankful that he is healthy and nothing was seriously wrong. I pray that each day with him will unfold in joy and delight as you watch him grow. May God bless you all with favor, grace, and love!
The last few weeks have seemed to last forever, so we’re thrilled to announce that our baby boy has finally arrived! So, can you please finally tell us his name? Jaylen Nathaniel Kern. And how’d you pick the name? We’ve had the name Jaylen picked since before we had Hope when we were deciding on […]

He’s beautiful. What a wonderful family you are blessed with! Congratulations
Congratulations…and now, the fun begins
Congrats my friend! You and the baby look great! Did you have a natural birth and how long were you in labor? Usually the second child comes faster than the first. I am so glad both are healthy. Get some rest and I will see you at the wedding on Jan 1, 08
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! He is soooooooooooooooo adorable We are so happy for all of you!!!! I can’t wait to hold him Hope a big sister WOW!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks!
@ Colette
I wouldn’t quite say natural – I definitely had a lot of help from the good ol’ epidural. Unfortunately they had to redo the epidural halfway through labor, which I think was about 6 1/2 hrs – ad a whopping 2 pushes…
…and happy birthday to you, too!!
Congrats Amanda, that’s amazing news and I am very happy for you!
Congratulationssssss

awww! Amanda he is precious! i really like the name you chose its not a very common name, i love that. I was looking at the photos and Hope really looks happy. She is going to really have great time with her baby brother, it looks like she is already showing that she is protective, just by her body language in holding him. I think it is the sweetest thing ever! God bless you and your family, and Hope would be the best one to know, that you indeed are a good mommy.
Gratz! Thats awsome!! I’m very glad everything went well

Just last week it finally dawned on me – there’s only about a month left until Baby Kern will arrive. Where has the time gone? Needless to say we’ve reached the point of this pregnancy where we are beginning to get a bit nervous, anxious, and excited. With about 4 1/2 weeks remaining, we found […]

I can’t wait either… so have you decided on a name yet? Well hope you all are doing good!!!
The ultrasound images are amazing. What’s his name? We missed you here in VCC. I hope you’re doing well. ^_^
My nephew is beautiful! His big sister looks like a pro already. I love you guys and I wish I were there this very minute. I like the name because it is like he is named after Jason but he still has his own name. Love you all!
[...] Scholarship Finalist! I must admit that the next best news to knowing the baby might arrive in the next day or two is receiving an email this morning stating that I’m a [...]
Though we suspected Hope would enjoy school, it was pretty evident after her first week in school that she was having a lot of fun and learning lots of new things.
